Starting in Botswana, you will experience the Okavango Delta region, with water and land based activities and plentiful wildlife. Travelling onwards to Zambia to the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, just a short distance from the famous Victoria Falls, where you can observe the falls and partake in some of the activities that are available here, as well as enjoying the wildlife and nature within the National Park. Continue on to Zimbabwe into the heart of Hwange National Park, a remote wilderness area with exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities, both on foot and in 4×4 safari vehicles.

Tucked under the trees on the edge of the Khwai River, in the community run Khwai Concession, this beautiful camp is the perfect location to fulfil your dreams of an African Safari experience. Wildlife is abundant, with year round consistent wildlife sightings, including Hippos, Elephants and Lions as well as Cheetah, Leopard, Buffalo, Wild dog and Giraffe. The birdwatching in this location is also supreme, with the Green Heron, African Wood Owl, Pel’s Fishing Owl and Ayres’s Hawk-Eagle to name but a few. Located on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, set in Zambia’s Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, just a short distance from the famous Victoria Falls, Thorntree River Lodge offers a tranquil base from which to explore a plethora of awe-inspiring activities including daily excursions to the Zambian side (and Zimbabwean side – in the dry season) side of The Victoria Falls, private river cruises, cultural visits, fishing expeditions, canoeing, rhino tracking and game drives.

DAY ONE – MAUN – KHWAI CONCESSION, OKAVANGO DELTA, BOTSWANA
Approximate flight time 30 minutes
Depart from Botswana’s Maun Airport for your flight to the Okavango Delta. You will be met on arrival at the Khwai airstrip by your Guide who will transfer you to Camp, with a game drive enroute. After settling into your tent and having some time to unpack, relax and freshen up, before you depart on a late afternoon wildlife activity watching the sunset as you view the wildlife. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY TWO & THREE – KHWAI CONCESSION, OKAVANGO DELTA, BOTSWANA
Two full days to explore the surrounding concession and the Okavango Delta, which is a haven for wildlife. Guests can enjoy game drives, walking safaris and mokoro safaris (water levels permitting) with wildlife sightings possibly including lion, cheetah, leopard, wild dog, elephant, buffalo, hippo and giraffe. Night drives are also on offer at this location, which offers an exhilarating opportunity to sight some of Africa’s nocturnal and more elusive animals.

DAY FOUR – MOSI-OA-TUNYA NATIONAL PARK, ZAMBIA
Approximate flight time 60 minutes. Road transfer time from Victoria Falls 1hr 30 minutes
Today you will transfer from Botswana to Zambia. On arrival at Kasane Airport, you will be met and transfer to Thorntree Lodge, on the shores of the Zambezi River. Settle into your Suite, with it’s private decking and plunge pool before you depart on an afternoon activity on the river. Enjoy a sunset on the water before heading back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY FIVE & SIX – MOSI-OA-TUNYA NATIONAL PARK, ZAMBIA
Two full days to enjoy all the activities and excursions available from this relaxing and tranquil base on the banks of the Zambezi. Experience the awe inspiring Victoria Falls, visits are made to the Zambian side (and Zimbabwean side – in the dry season), as well as private river cruises, cultural visits, fishing expeditions, canoeing, rhino tracking and game drives. Or simply relax in this beautiful setting and soak up the nature that surrounds you.

DAY SEVEN – HWANGE NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE
Approximate flight time 45 minutes
Transfer to Victoria Falls International Airport for the flight to Hwange. You will be met on arrival at the Manga airstrip by your Guide who will transfer you to Camp, with a game drive enroute. After settling into your tent and having some time to unpack, relax and freshen up, before you depart on a late afternoon wildlife activity watching the sunset as you view the wildlife. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Overnight at Somalisa Camp (Fully Inclusive)

DAY EIGHT & NINE – HWANGE NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE
Two full days immersed in Hwange National Park, known for it’s large numbers of wildlife, especially Elephant. Lions, Cheetah, Buffalo are also common to view. Activities include walking safaris, game drives, birding and cultural visits. All are included in your stay and led by qualified and passionate guides.

DAY TENT – HWANGE NATIONAL PARK – VICTORIA FALLS AIRPORT
Approximate flight time 45 minutes
After a final breakfast and morning activity (time permitting), transfer by air to Victoria Falls International Airport for your onward travel.
